"A reflection on life, love won and love lost."
Fast, melodic and catchy punk rock is what Alex The Kid deliver on their latest EP, Straight Outta Luck.
The skate punk maestros have injected a healthy dose of grit into their new offering, with its four songs no doubt translating well to a live format.
"Writing and recording the EP was a long process, with bandmates interstate and scattered all around Perth, and personal lives taking priority over the band to an extent,” guitarist Dale Barker said.
“We made it work in our own way to come together for these four tracks of honest, heartfelt songs.
“Recorded with our long-time mates Cody Brooks and Rohan Martin, Straight Outta Luck is a reflection on life, love won and love lost."
It’s been a big few years for the Geraldton locals, who released their debut album, Speak Up, in 2016 after performing at triple j's One Night Stand and supporting The Smith Street Band, Dune Rats and more.
