There's a whole heap of festivities going on in Queensland for Lunar New Year, which is currently in full swing, including...

Bundaberg Chinese New Year Celebrations, 22 Feb, Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, University Drive, Branyan: Activities for all ages. Expect lion and dragon dancing, grandmas juggling, performers from Nanning, craft markets, delicious food, and fireworks.

Valley Chinese New Year Festival, 27 Feb, Valley Chinatown: A Brisbane tradition. There'll be music, dance, firecrackers, Chinese puppetry, traditional decorations, exhibitions, religious rituals, Tai Chi displays and markets stalls. Plus, 20 local restaurants are taking part in the festivities.

Gold Coast Chinese New Year Celebrations, 20 Feb, GC Chinatown precinct: Chinatown will come alive with a street food market, live music and dancing, roving performers, a free outdoor cinema (showing Kung Fu Panda 2), dance and cultural workshops, kids' activities and fireworks to finish.
