Celebrate: Bairro Portugues Food And Wine Fair

Celebrate and explore all the flavours and aromas of Mediterranean cuisine at Marrickville Council's 13th annual Bairro Portugues Food & Wine Fair.

Bairro will take your taste buds on a journey through Madeiran grilled meats, Spanish paella, chorizo rolls, polenta, garlic prawns, salsas, grilled sardines, Turkish gozleme, cod fish cakes (Bolinhos de bacalhau), bruschettas and haloumi salad.

To finish off with something sweet, there's Portuguese tarts (Pastel de nata), churros and sweet pumpkin treats known as filhozes.

Wash it all down with Portuguese sangria, wines, and beers, fresh lemonade and sugarcane juice.

The festival will also feature traditional dancing and live music, plus other entertainment.
