How did you get into the barber business? An old friend suggested the opportunity to learn the skills of barbering and hairdressing from him one on one. I was a graphic designer at the time and the industry was changing rapidly and I thought it a good a time as any to get out and try something new.

How long has the shop been running for? Temple Town opened in March 2014 and has been open for two-and-a-half years — our customer base is loyal and growing.

What services do you specialise in? Delivering quality affordable cuts to men and woman while removing the ego and separation that many salons proliferate. Real people and real cuts.

What makes your shop a cut above the rest? Temple Town is different, it doesn't look like your average barber shop. We cut women's hair alongside men's and listen to the client's needs first and foremost. Humble, quality cuts.

Do you offer any extra services? We proudly offer locally made beer and cider to our customers. Mountain Goat supplies us beer while Faire Ferments supply us with their Co-Op Cider. Top notch drops...

What was the most memorable cut you have done? My favourite times in the shop are when everyone is in a big conversation all contributing and enjoying the chatter, it makes everyone feel like a part of something.

If you could cut/style the hair of any celebrity, who would it be and what would you give them? A flat top on Eddie Murphy would be a pretty special experience I reckon.
