AUS PREMIERE: Clarence Clarity - No Now

Enigmatic British electro-soul purveyor Clarence Clarity has spent the last little while gaining and solidifying his notoriety as one of the most exciting, if elusive, acts on the UK scene, and he's all set to knock that ascendancy even further all around the world with the release of his eagerly awaited debut full-length, No Now, on 2 March (via Bella Union).

Before it officially drops, though, we're privileged to be hosting the Australian premiere of the man's new album, from magnetic opener Become Death right through the LP's incredible (and incredible-value, honestly) 20-track set list, including recent single Meadow Hopping, Traffic Stopping, Death Splash. 

In typical upstart style, of course, Clarity remains (somewhat ironically) coy about the new work, saying in a statement that No Now "is my bubble of clarity".

"The ongoing wow hovering in stasis, with the blinds down and the world a forgotten dream; this album happened in that non-moment. Your past is what you make of it, and your future's quite literally set in stone — and are you tired of chasing the present?"

Uh… we think so?

Whatever; you're not here for philosophy, or a half-arsed approximation thereof; you're here for excellent tunes, and Clarity provides them in abundance on his ambitious, aurally alluring debut effort.
