"The general theme is that it’s an album about hitting your late-20s and doubting all the decisions you’ve made."
Azim Zain & His Lovely Bones shares an exclusive first look at his new album, premiering exclusively with The Music.
Be Good is the debut album for the Canberra artist, who has previously played in groups like Slagatha Christie and Elk Locker.
"The general theme is that it’s an album about hitting your late-20s and doubting all the decisions you’ve made," Zain told The Music.
"Something that I’m sure many feel in their 20s. But it’s also meant to be a loving tribute to the people in our lives who stop from descending into pure self-flagellation and remind us that it’s still worth trying to be better.
"More personally, it’s also a tribute to the community I found that supported and embraced this strange foreigner because despite all those doubts in what I was doing, they made this ‘imperfect’ path I took feel like it was worth something no matter the end result."
Be Good is due for release this Friday, 13 November. Check it out above and find out more about Azim Zain & His Lovely Bones here.
