Album title? Free & Easy
Where did the title of your new album come from? I would consider this album my most Australian album; the title really is a reflection of Australian life. Australians like having a good time and the title really talks about feeling free and easy living.
How many releases do you have now? Three releases: Jerusalem Hollywood was my first, Songs Of The Night the second and Free & Easy is my latest.
How long did it take to write/record? The new album took me about six months from start to finish. l wrote the songs in Sydney and went to Melbourne to record it at my brother's house during Christmas, 2016.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? During the making of this record l was listening to a lot of old Bob Dylan and Neil Young, as l always do, but l was also listening to Lou Reed and Rodriguez.
What's your favourite song on it? Each one has its own special purpose and each one has its own journey through this world and life.
Will you do anything differently next time? l have always admired the greats like Dylan and Young, but l must say l've thought of using more of an electronic touch on the next record.
When and where is your launch/next gig? You can catch me at Hard Rock Cafe in Darling Harbour where l have been playing all the songs off the new album every Monday night.
