Album Focus: Beautiful Losers

Album title? OWL
Where did the title of your new album come from? Owls are mystical birds, and like us they are nocturnal. The songs on this album have a mix of quietness hiding in the shadows and bursts of aggression - very much like the predator owl.  
How many releases do you have now? Our previous album Fade Out released in 2015, plus several vinyl releases back in the' 80s.  
How long did it take to write/record? The main recording was done in a day (drums, bass, acoustic guitar), another day to do the main vocals, and a third day for the backing vocals. Greg spent several weeks mixing it though.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Not really - just the intention of getting more space into the sound of this record.
What's your favourite song on it? I would say the opening track Broken - which is why it is the opening track.
Will you do anything differently next time? If the songs still need acoustic guitars and up-front drums, then we'd do it the same way. If we return to a grungy vibe, we'll record live in the studio.
When and where is your launch/next gigs? We are launching this album at Badlands on Saturday 3 June. We have a few special guest surprises planned, so it will be special; not just a routine gig.
