Album title? Culture How Could You
Where did the title of your new album come from? While writing the track Trigger I changed my thinking from blaming myself or others for the hard times to actually looking at the culture we live in and asking culture to be accountable also.
How many releases do you have now? This is my second release; the first was an EP Like Red And Yellow Leaves in 2013.
How long did it take to write/record? The whole journey was a couple of years. I started song-writing with composer Robert Davidson, then went solo to New York to write and get inspired, then came home to bring it all to life.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? I was inspired by the idea of combining musical styles, in this case that is folk, classical, and noise and drone. I like to reflect extremes, like when beauty meets grime, when industry meets nature.
What's your favourite song on it? My personal favourite is Don't Forget that You Were Born. There's an interesting strangeness and a strong moment of release.
Will you do anything differently next time? Next time I'd love to be even bolder in my creative choices, to push the boundaries more and sing with the intensity that I feel. Songwriting is a never-ending journey.
When and where is your launch/next gig? I'll be touring the album in Hobart, Melbourne, Byron Bay, Brisbane and Sydney this month from the 10th to the 21st joined by Robert Davidson, ALPHAMAMA, Daniel Ogilvie and Anatole.
