David Quirk

"My perfect audience would be like a laugh track, or an actual laugh track. Until I gain perfection though, this won't be nessasary."

Can you give us a tweet-length summary of your show? It's about vulgar kids, Morrissey, animals, debts and human animals. And towels. Things that might be seen as 'career suicide'.

Describe your perfect audience: My perfect audience would be like a laugh track, or an actual laugh track. Until I gain perfection though, this won't be nessasary.

Besides making people laugh, what else do you hope people get from your comedy? Well, apart from laughs, I hope they get interested, confronted, shamed and happy.

What's your favourite comedy film and why? Happiness. Only four days ago, in Adelaide, I saw a man that was the spitting image of Philip Seymour Hoffman, dining alone. That's one reason. The other is it's funny.

What would you be doing if you weren't a comedian? I would be quite happy reading scripts and doing plays. I'd also be happy riding around on a BMX doing jumps. There's not much money in it though.
