A Thin Line marks Blackchords as dark minstrels of sinuous pop, still searching for their voice.

The Blackchords have exceeded expectations and created an album brimming with masterfully layered tunes and tasteful electronic indie-pop sounds.

“We’ve had a few line-ups across the years and, you know, you get new people in and they might have a new direction they want the music to go in and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t."

"We’re just having a lot of fun doing it, above all, at the moment, so I’m really excited to get the album out there and play the gigs around Australia.”

They finish on Oh No and bring the tempo down with a beautiful encore featuring Kitchen, which showcases Milwright’s gorgeous vocals.

They have evolved as a band, moving slightly from the Interpol intellectualisms towards a Two Door Cinema Club indie pop vibe, but their brooding honesty is still there, setting them apart and ahead of the rabble.

"So when it was done I got out of Australia because I needed a fresh perspective on things. I went across there (to Paris) and played some gigs and just lived life. I really feed off the energy of Europe. It’s just an amazing place and I loved being there."
