Some of our finest bands and artists are making the trek to Brighton.
There are a couple of mis-steps here, but they are probably the result of Milne being a little too ambitious on an album that’s good on first listen and keeps getting better.
What the album does do though is show that Milne is yet another step closer to realising the musical peaks that he ardently seeks.
Milne shows he is right at the top of his game in terms of his writing and the ability to capture his songs in the studio.
There is honesty and wit within Arabia’s lyrics as he narrates and reflects upon awkward growing up experiences and falling in love.
Milne’s backing band are his not so secret weapon, such is their ability to allow space and poise in the songs.
“I wanted to have a more mystical name as I’m generally a shy person, but I like to take on new personalities..."
The New Zealand songwriter will preview his new album at two small shows in July.
