"To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away..."
Adele was apparently so nervous leading up to her debut Australian show and first-ever stadium concert that she almost bailed on it altogether.
The UK superstar performed to over 60,000 fans at Domain Stadium on Tuesday night and according to The Sun, she told the crowd about her nerves leading up to the gig.
"Do you know, one time I said I wouldn't even play arenas?" the 28-year-old said.
"I said I'd only ever play theatres. To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away, so I don't know how I managed to stay in the venue, to stay on the stage."

Adele was quite the talker at her WA show and also revealed that plans to include fireworks at the stadium were scrapped after debris struck her son's eye during soundcheck.
The multiple Grammy Award-winner took a crowd poll towards the end of the show to see if she should include pyrotechnics at future dates.
"Let's get a cheer for fireworks if you want them," she asked to huge response.
"Let's get a ‘boo’ if you don't want shit in your eyes," she followed up to soft response.
"Alright, we'll do it next time," she said.
