UK indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club have announced their long-awaited return to Australia, playing on our shores for the first time in ten years.

The band last performed in Australia in September 2014 (per setlist.fm), but this November, they’re heading back with a fresh tour and new album, My Big Day, released in October 2023.

The quartet begin the tour at Sydney’s Metro Theatre (Thursday, 14 November) before heading to Brisbane’s The Triffid (Friday, 15 November), Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom (Saturday, 16 November), Adelaide’s The Gov (Sunday, 17 November), and wrap at Perth’s Rechabite on Tuesday, 19 November.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, 2 May, at noon AEST—you can register here for priority access to Exclusive Fan pre-sale tickets. The general sale opens via SBM Presents at noon AEST on Tuesday, 7 May.

My Big Day, Bombay Bicycle Club’s second post-hiatus album, is packed with a massive list of guest stars, including Blur’s Damon Albarn, Chaka Khan, Holly Humberstone, Jay Som and Nilüfer Yanya, and arrived to critical acclaim. The album debuted at #3 in the UK.

Their sixth album, My Big Day, follows 2020’s Everything Else Has Gone Wrong, 2014’s So Long, See You Tomorrow, 2011’s A Different Kind Of Fix, 2010’s Flaws, and 2009’s debut album, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose.
