EXCLUSIVE: Josh Ritter - The Stone (Acoustic)

Idaho folk/Americana musician Josh Ritter is gearing up to release his eighth studio album, Sermon On The Rocks, this Friday, and to get everyone in the mood, we've got a dash of Ritter to tide you by today, in the form of the exclusive video premiere of The Stone (Acoustic), from the album.

The stripped back song feels just like Ritter is serenading you on a porch after a big lunch on a balmy Saturday afternoon, which funnily enough, is exactly what he's doing in the video clip.

The acclaimed musician says he tried to harness the sounds of "messianic oracular honky-tonk" with this new album — and if you're not sure what that really means, let it be an example of Ritter's incredible vocabulary, having just written a New York Times-bestselling novel, Bright's Passage.
