More Timberwolf More Timberwolf

Adelaide-bred folk troubadour Timberwolf is a man on a mission — having freshly released his second EP, Flux, just last week, as well as appearing at Adelaide's recent Groovin The Moo event, and with more dates looming on the horizon, the It Burns and Fallen Sun scribe is turning his attentions to yet another taste of his latest work, premiering the video for new single Whiskey Jar on theMusic.com.au today.

On-the-pulse aficionados would have noted that the single itself has been available since late April, in the lead-up to Flux's release, and it's somewhat unsurprising that Timberwolf would have chosen the song as an early visual adaptation, having previously described the track as one of his favourite songs on the EP.

"It was inspired by seduction, temptation and the trail of self-destruction that follows an emotional split," Timberwolf explained in a statement. "It's quite swift and rocky in comparison to anything I've written in the past so it was nice to move in that direction; I think I was listening to quite a bit of psych-rock around the time."

The track is his first with a full band, and was laid down at the Cairns studio of producer/musician Mark Myers, formerly of The Middle East and Sleeping In Trains.
