With the Laneway Festival wrapped up for 2014, it was time for the artists to get down and celebrate at Metropolis, spinning some of their favourite tracks and entertaining Laneway punters eager to keep the festival vibe going.
While it was unfortunate Palace got stuck with such an early opening slot, he still put together a great set of hip hop classics that included Missy Elliot, Mos Def and Naughty By Nature alongside Hermitude, Touch Sensitive and Ta-ku & Kit Pop.
With the festival finally over and punters heading into the club, Tina Says was tasked with getting the dancefloor going. Starting with the Sweater Beats remix of Come For The Early (Stay For The Late) by Bastian's Happy Flight, the local DJ managed to get the crowd together and dancing with an eclectic house mix that was a highlight of the night.
Chvrches' Iain Cook jumped on after that to keep the crowd going, starting off with LCD Soundsystem's Dance Yrself Clean and delivering a surprising set full of everything from M83 to Hot Chip and Crystal Castles' Baptism.
The Haim sisters arrived onstage shortly after midnight along with Lorde to a huge welcome by the crowd. They kept the club pumping, playing a blend of early 2000s pop and R&B along with some Kanye West and TI to keep things nice and heavy. The sisters led the crowd through a sing-along of Justin Timberlake's Señorita and TLC's No Scrubs, with Lorde even being coaxed out from behind the decks by Danielle Haim to dance and sing along to R Kelly's Ignition (Remix).
Cashmere Cat arrived onstage after around 1.30 in the morning, kicking off his set with original track Paws and keeping the club pumping long into the later hours of Sunday morning.
