Michael Hing: Bildungsroman At 28

"Hing’s honest and rapidfire storytelling is engaging and endearing."

Through recounting the several coulda-been moments with a girl who met every single criteria on his lengthy 'perfect girlfriend' list, Michael Hing shares with us the events that led to his coming-of-age, at 28 (more than ten years after most people's, he admits). Hing's honest and rapidfire storytelling is engaging and endearing; his timing and delivery could be improved, but that's a minor gripe. In a show that's “perhaps too real”, his descriptions of cringeworthy moments provide occasional laughs-out-loud (as well as sympathetic – not negative – groans).
