Shappi Khorsandi

"A smooth performance that’s charming but not quite laugh-out-loud funny."

Shappi Khorsandi is certainly well seasoned in the ways of performing comedy. She knows how to command a room and provides a performance that's interesting and easy to watch. While there was no awkwardness during her performance, some of her jokes fell a little flat, stereotyped jokes about racism, sex and motherhood lacking originality. Also her punchlines were sometimes rushed through, not giving the jokes enough time to take their full effect. Overall though, some really good storytelling – a smooth performance that's charming but not quite laugh-out-loud funny.
