Des Bishop: Made In China

Tonight's show opens with Des Bishop wildly performing House Of Pain's Jump Around in Mandarin, which immediately sets a frantic pace. From here the audience is taken on a PowerPoint tour of Bishop's recent sabbatical in the Middle Kingdom. There are plenty of expat Irish in attendance tonight, and Bishop caters to them at times, dropping into the Irish lilt for effect. Haggling for marriage proposals in a park, working as a restaurant host speaking broken Mandarin, and appearing on China's equivalent of Perfect Match are some of the show's highlights, all delivered with Bishop's trademark enthusiasm (and volume).
