He mocked and ridiculed with the deft execution only an experienced performer could showcase, all whilst maintaining a completely hilarious act.

When it comes to handling the idiotic and self-absorbed behaviour of hecklers and other imprudent individuals that – for whatever unfathomable reason – feel the need to make themselves heard during a stand-up comedy show, Jimmy McGhie has the art down pact. For these sad individuals that seem to seek reassuring of their own self-importance a Jimmy McGhie show is definitely not the place to test such self-affirmation.

The South Londoner gave a stellar performance last week, covering a breadth of sophisticated topics from “chunky cheerleaders” and the evolution of internet pornography right through to hipsters and the uncanny similarity between homosexual rave dancers and AFL players. Perhaps most memorably though was the 32 year old's ability to interact with the crowd in both an intentional, probing manner and through his knack for demoralising anyone unfortunate enough to attempt to intervene in the show.
