"What we have here is just another forgettable post-hardcore album with a small helping of pop."

More Chiodos More Chiodos

After having been replaced on the band's last record, Craig Owens is once again the voice of Chiodos – and whether that's a particularly good thing is another question entirely. It's undeniable that Owens' vocals have improved in the seven years since we last heard from him, but all the developments that surfaced in their third album Illuminaudio (fronted by Brandon Bolmer), have been left out entirely. It's not that there's anything inherently wrong with Devil, it's just that there's nothing great about it, either. What we have here is just another forgettable post-hardcore album with a small helping of pop.
