How did you get together? Jesse and I were born to the same parents so we were able to start working together from a young age. Then we met our virtuoso man, Alex Burkoy one hot night at Woodford.

Sum up your musical sound in four words or less? Super-folk.

If you could support any band in the world – past or present – who would it be? Fleetwood Mac. Just for the good vibes backstage.

You’re being sent into space, no iPod, you can bring one album – what would it be? American IV: The Man Comes Around – Johnny Cash. I’ve already listened to this album to the moon and back and I still love it.

Greatest rock’n’roll moment of your career to date? Cleaning vomit off my breasts backstage at Brixton Academy in London. (Note: The vomit was from my five-month-old baby.)

Why should people come and see your band? Because we’re okay. We definitely don’t suck. And we put a lot of love and sweat into our shows.

When and where for your next gig? Sonic Sessions at Fremantle Arts Centre with Lucky Oceans, 29 Nov.
