Nicki Minaj Set To Claim First-ever Australian #1 Album This Week With 'Queen'

Nicki Minaj is on track to claim her first-ever Australian #1 album this week with her new LP, Queen.

According to midweek figures, the Trinidadian-American rapper's fourth record is favourite to take out top spot on the ARIA Albums chart and should at the very least debut inside the top three, which would beat the previous record set by 2012's Pink Friday: Roman Unloaded, which peaked at #5.

Minaj's Queen will be in the running against fellow hip hop artists — Travis Scott's Astroworld Drake's Scorpion — which last week placed at #1 and #2 respectively. 

Other albums debuting on the chart this week are Trippie Redd's Life Is A TripElvis Presley compilation Where No One Stands Alone (both top 20), Gretta Ray's Here & Now (top 40) and Jason Mraz's Know (top 50).

Over on the Singles chart, Drake's global hit In My Feelings is the favourite to take out top spot for a fifth-straight week, while there are no drastic changes expected to occur in the top ten. 

New songs entering the list this week include David Guetta's Don't Leave Me Alone, featuring Anne-Marie (top 40), Billie Eilish's You Should See Me In A CrownLoud Luxury's Body and Bazzi's Beautiful (all top 50).
