Witnesses say they saw a man stumbling down the street with blood pouring down his face following the altercation before he collapsed.

Police believe that the alleged attackers knew McKee.

McKee co-founded Sydney-based independent hip hop label Sub Conscious Records in 2007 alongside Dseeva.

The local rapper has released a handful of LPs and mixtapes since then, including last year’s The Last Temptation with Bhoky101.

UPDATE 10.49am

The Australian is reporting that the woman charged with murder, Hannah Quinn, did not face Newtown Local Court this morning but was represented by her lawyer, Lauren MacDougall.

MacDougall reportedly asked magistrate Margaret Quinn to make a bail application in court this Thursday.

UPDATE 4.10pm

The 28-year-old man who handed himself over to police on Monday night has been identified as Hannah Quinn's boyfriend, Blake Davis.

According to Fairfax, Davis appeared in Newtown Local Court on Tuesday via audio-visual link after being released from the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Davis has also been charged with murder.

It is alleged that McKee attacked Davis with knuckle dusters after attempting to rob the Forest Lodge home on Friday, before he fled to the street, where Quinn chased and tackled him.

Davis allegedly followed with a Samurai sword when he then attacked McKee with it.

While Quinn will return to court on Thursday, Davis is due to return to Newtown Local Court on October.
