More Amy Shark More Amy Shark

Australian artist Amy Shark is the front runner to challenge Drake for top spot on the ARIA Albums chart this week with her debut album, Love Monster.

According to midweek figures, the Queensland songwriter's LP is predicted to debut in the top three and is in the running to contend for #1 against Drake's Scorpion, which is gunning for three straight weeks atop the list.

It comes after Shark's 2017 EP, Night Thinker, peaked on the chart at #2 last April.

Fellow Aussie and country artist Adam Brand is also predicted to push for a top three debut with his compilation album, Milestones… 20 Years.

Other album debuts this week include the Mamma Mia! sequel soundtrack (top ten) and deadmau5's Mau5ville: Level 1 (top 30).

Over on the Singles charts, Sydney's 5 Seconds Of Summer will again be looking to make ARIA history with their track, Youngblood, and tie the record for an Australian single with the longest run at #1, currently held by Justice Crew's Que Sera, which spent nine weeks at top spot in 2014.

It will be no easy feat however, as Drake's In My Feelings is predicted to climb to #2 or #1 after it landed at #3 last week, while Shark's I Said Hi should move up into the top ten.

A number of new tracks should be debuting in the top 50 this week too, including Ariana Grande's God Is A Woman (top ten), Childish Gambino's Summertime Magic (top 30), Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid's Eastside, (top 40) Hilltop HoodsClark Griswold and The CartersApeshit (both top 50).
