Dropping next week!

More Hilltop Hoods More Hilltop Hoods

It looks like the Hilltop Hoods are bringing new music to Splendour In the Grass later this month, taking to social media to announce that new single Clark Griswold will also feature Adrian Eagle who name-dropped the trio in his track 17 Again last year.

Named after the character in the National Lampoon’s Vacation film series, played by Chevy Chase, the track will premiere on triple j breakfast on Thursday before it's officially released on 13 July.

The release of Cosby Sweater in 2014 was followed by a formal conviction of Bill Cosby, with the group saying in a statement on Facebook at the time, “To be honest we regret name checking Bill Cosby".

"Like some of you we’ve only recently become aware of the allegations against him".

It is currently unknown as to what extent Chase's Clark Griswold character features in the track, but it should be noted that Chase also faced a number of allegations including making racially insensitive comments towards Donald Glover while filming US comedy series, Community.

Speaking to The New Yorker earlier in the year Glover said he "saw Chevy as fighting time”.
