[UPDATE] Family Of Australian Musician Jae Haydon Confirm Death

UPDATE: 

The family of Jae Hydon has confirmed his passing, with a GoFundMe page being launched today to assist with expenses in bringing his body back to Australia. 

"To our free spirit Jae, who roamed the world and lived the life we all dreamed of, who brought incredible joy to loads of people in this world, lost his life in Uluwatu, Bali today," a statement posted on the campaign page reads.

"We love you Jae with all our hearts and will miss you terribly every day and know you’ll spend your time swingin’ life away.

"We cannot thank the efforts his beautiful friends went to to keep me in the loop, travel around Bali on the search and just keep the hope alive. You’ve shown us just how loved he was (even though we already knew)."

A body, believed to be Australian musician Jae Haydon, was found floating in the water at a Bali beach on Monday night. 

As News Corp reports, fears for the New South Wales artist's safety were raised after he went missing while surfing that day and later, his broken surf board was found washed up near Uluwatu.

"The victim’s body has been found. The victim had died when he was found," Co-ordinator of Beach Lifeguards in Badung regency, Ketut Ipel, said.

"The victim was surfing at around 7.30am when a strong wave suddenly hit him. His surfboard was found broken."

Chief of Denpasar’s National Search and Rescue Agency, Ketut Gede Ardana, said the victim was believed to be Haydon.

It should be noted a number of Facebook posts acknowledging Haydon's passing have been published in recent hours, however this is yet to be publicly confirmed.

Haydon, a Wollongong local, performed as a solo acoustic artist at weddings, parties and bars.

He also fronted local bands, Lost In Line and The Siren Songs, with the latter releasing their Like The Night EP in 2014.
