WA artists, start sharpening those grant-writing pencils because Otherside Brewing Co. have just announced the details of their 2018 Australian Tour Grant.

Entries are now open for all WA bands and solo artists to share in a prize pool of $15,000. Three individual grants will be awarded, valued at $5,000 each, to go towards national touring and helping WA musicians get noticed on a national level.

Otherside Director David Chitty has been vocal about his dedication to the development of Western Australian creatives.

“We have made no secret or apologies for our commitment to WA’s creative sector, having emerged from it ourselves,” Chitty said.

“We promised to donate a portion of each and every beer sale to creating grants and supporting music, visual art and film. So thanks to everyone who enjoyed an Otherside in 2017: you’ve contributed to the health of WA music, art and culture!”

Otherside’s 2017 grants helped Fremantle outfit Koi Child get to their SXSW showcase and saw Verge Collection undertake a national tour.

Entries for the Otherside Australian tour grants close at COB WST Monday 12 February. For more details about the grants and to apply head over to the official website
