WAMFest Smashes Attendance Record In 2017

The absolutely huge 2017 WAMFest line-up was met with record-breaking attendance numbers.

The celebration of all things WA music consumed various venues across the state from the 2 – 5 November, with WAM reporting an attendance increase of 173% from 2016, as 39,638 attendees soaked up local music.

“Massive thanks and congratulations to all concerned in designing, planning and delivering this fantastic event,” said WAM CEO Mike Harris.

“Now we look to 2018 and what that will look like: how to advance WAMFest and WA music more broadly.”

Harris attributed part of the success to new WAMFest coordinators Skinny O’Leary and Mark Neal who “worked themselves into the ground”.
