More Midnight Oil More Midnight Oil

Midnight Oil were forced to cut short their gig in Melbourne last night after guitarist Jim Moginie injured his leg on stage.

As ABC reports, Moginie tripped and fell during the band's encore at Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

Midnight Oil confirmed this morning that the founding member suffered a "badly torn hamstring".

"He will get further tests in hospital today to determine whether surgery is required," the Sydney outfit's statement reads.
