Police crackdown results confirmed.

A man has been caught attempting to enter this past weekend's Listen Out festival with Vegemite-slathered drugs cling-wrapped to his penis.

Yeah, enjoy never eating Vegemite ever again.

According to News Corp, the punter was caught with the drugs, later identified as MDMA, by sniffer dogs at the Melbourne leg of the festival in St Kilda.

"We found several males had the drugs wrapped in plastic and wrapped around their penis,"  Port Phillip Acting Inspector Stuart Bailey said.

"One smothered his MDMA in Vegemite believing the… dog would not be able to detect his drugs. Wrong!"

The man was reportedly one of 24 punters caught trying to take drugs into the festival, while 19 more people were given drug diversions, three were cautioned for cannabis and two others are expected to be interviewed about being in possession of ketamine.

Bailey also reported that one punter, believed to be under the influence of LSD, had to be physically restrained by police and taken to The Alfred hospital under their guard where he later made a full recovery.

Another man was arrested and charged with assault for throwing a "stubby" at an officer after his friend was evicted from the festival.

Despite this, Bailey said the majority of the 15,000 in attendance were well behaved.

"It was a warm day, St Kilda was pumping, but we didn’t have that many drugs… we had probably more in the medical tents because of headaches and dehydration and things of that nature," Bailey said.

Listen Out continues in Sydney this coming Saturday — head over to theGuide for more details.
