Next year's dates announced!

As if their upcoming January bonanza wasn't exciting enough, Mona Foma (Mofo) eagerly await senator Pauline Hanson’s RSVP.

With plans to relocate Mofo to Launceston from 2019, the festival’s Hobart leg is set to be bigger than ever for what could be their last event at Mona for a while.

Launceston's inaugural Mini Mofo will take place 12-14 January, and includes a free festival street party for locals on the Sunday.

Then, from 15-22 Jan, Hobart will hold host to an exciting array of stand-alone gigs, pop-up events and art-inspired club nights around the city, culminating in Mofo at Mona from 19-21 January 2018.

And as for Hanson…

"We parked a billboard out the front of her headquarters this morning and suggested she buy a ticket," festival curator Brian Ritchie said.

"We hinted there could be a burqa wearing heavy metal band on the bill. So we’re pretty sure she’ll come."

Mona Foma's 2018 festival line-up is set to drop on Friday 13 October, with tickets going on sale the following Monday.
