EXCLUSIVE: Inertia Group Announce Big Changes To Company Structure

Exciting times ahead!

Revered local label Inertia Group has announced some very exciting changes to the business just in time for day one of BIGSOUND.

The Music can exclusively reveal that the Sydney-based company is to be restructured into three core divisions and made up of a senior team that includes Ben Suthers, Justin Cosby, Gab Ryan, Meg Williams & Yvonne Cho.

All members will continue to report to Inertia Music CEO, Colin Daniels.

  • Label services — To be run by Yvonne Cho, label services will cover production and distribution, all sales (digital and physical), retail and digital platform marketing, and client and product management for all sales and distribution clients. Andrew Hajgato, formally of Cooking Vinyl, will join Inertia on 2 October as Label Services Manager.
  • Inertia Label Group — The newly-created Inertia Label Group encompasses the acquisition, creative, marketing and promotion of Inertia-signed artists. The group is to be run by co-directors, Gab Ryan and Meg Williams.
  • Central — The central division, to be overseen by Ben Suthers, will provide shared services for the two frontline departments including business strategy and management, finance and royalties, operations and administration, legal and corporate affairs, human resources, health and safety, IT and other support functions.
