Mueller speaks out.

More Taylor Swift More Taylor Swift

The radio host accused of groping Taylor Swift during a meet and greet in 2013 has spoken out and maintained his innocence, despite receiving a guilty verdict in court yesterday.

David Mueller, who was found guilty of groping the US pop star underneath her skirt while taking a picture together backstage at her concert, insists he did not commit the crime.

Speaking to Good Morning America (via ABC), the Denver DJ said, "I didn't do it. I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt. And I can pass a polygraph".

Mueller claims the reason the picture taken with Swift looks awkwardis because he jumped in at the last minute.

"I wasn't ready," he said.

"I wasn't invited to be in the photo. So I just moved into the shot the best I could."

GMA report that Mueller is considering appealing the court's decision.

Swift was awarded $US1 in damages and said in a statement yesterday that she plans to make donations "to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves".
