West Australian singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly is about to enjoy a burst of live activity at home and interstate, playing her first shows in the wake of signing dual deals in the lead-up to her appearance at next month's BIGSOUND Festival in Brisbane.

Donnelly has newly inked an agreement with Philip Stevens Management — who also looks after the likes of John Butler, The Waifs and San Cisco — as well as entering into an international booking deal with Alex Bruford, an agent for savvy European agency ATC Live who presently represents The Lumineers, Margaret Glaspy, Julia Jacklin and Marlon Williams.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Stella Donnelly," Bruford enthused in a statement. "Her Thrush Metal EP is a remarkable piece of work and Stella is a unique and extremely exciting talent. I'm looking forward to helping her build her international touring career."

Thrush Metal landed back in April through Melbourne's Healthy Tapes, the five-track EP having sold out four pressings on cassette in the ensuing months. It features fan-favourite cut Mechanical Bull, which has done solid business for the Perth-based troubadour on both Spotify and triple j.

Prior to her BIGSOUND showcase, Donnelly will play a handful of shows over the next few weeks to get nice and warmed up, starting with a show at The Bird, Northbridge, on Thursday 24 August. She heads east to Surry Hills' Golden Age Cinema on 31 August, and plays Melbourne's Gasometer on Sunday 3 September before heading up to Brisbane.
