A serious chance to beat Ed Sheeran to #1.

More Linkin Park More Linkin Park

A number of both Linkin Park's albums and tracks are set to soar towards the top of the ARIA charts following the tragic death of frontman Chester Bennington last week.

According to midweek Albums chart figures, the US band's 2000 debut record, Hybrid Theory and their May-released One More Light are primed for top three finishes, which peaked at #2 and #3 respectively upon the initial releases.

Both LP's are genuine contenders of dethroning Ed Sheeran's long-reigning #1 album, ÷ (Divide), as is Lana Del Rey's fifth studio record, Lust For Life, which is also predicted to debut in the top three.

Other Linkin Park albums set to soar into the Albums chart include Meteora (top five), Minutes To Midnight (top ten), the Collision Course collaboration with Jay Z (top 20), The Hunting Party (top 30), Living Things, A Thousand Suns (both top 40) and the live record, Road To Revolution: Live At Milton Keynes (top 50).

Over on the Singles chart, Imagine DragonsThunder is one only threat to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's ten-week streak on top with Despacito, featuring Justin Bieber, however a string of Linkin Park classics are set to push back into the chart.

The group's 2001 hit In The End is predicted to climb back into the top five, while 2003's Numb should crack the top ten.
