More Armand Van Helden More Armand Van Helden

House music icon Armand Van Helden is returning to Australian shores next year for a one-off performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as part of the Symphonica series. This will be Van Helden’s first appearance in Australia in seven years.

Taking place at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on 27 January next year, Van Helden will join forces with the MSO to recreate some of his biggest hits, including U Don’t Know Me, My My My, Bonkers (feat. Dizzee Rascal), I Want Your Soul and his Duck Sauce collab Barbara Streisand.

The evening comes off the success of Jeff Mills & Derrick May’s performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl last year which inspired the Symphonica event series. The series is now planned to be an ongoing event between the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and influential contemporary music figures.

Van Helden will be supported by Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda with a 15-piece MSO ensemble.
