Beloved indie-electro duo Boo Seeka are set to release their eagerly awaited debut album, Never Too Soon, next month, and to celebrate the pair are setting off on a wide-ranging two-month national tour from early October.

The band will kick off the sojourn at home in Sydney, with an opening outing at the Manning Bar on Friday 6 October, before heading on to stages in Wollongong, Brisbane, Townsville, Maroochydore, the Gold Coast, Newcastle, Adelaide, Bunbury, Perth, Fremantle, Belgrave, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston and Canberra, where they wrap up their Australian run at The Academy before hopping the ditch for their first-ever New Zealand shows.

The album itself lands in the run-up to the tour, set for release on Friday 4 August, which will give fans ample time to familiarise themselves with all the delicious new material therein.

Of course, the attentive among you would already have experienced at least some of the album's charms by way of taster single Turn Up Your Light, which — as with the rest of the album — carries the hallmarks of the production talents of longtime collaborator Ian Pritchett.

"This album best reflects our recent life experiences, encapsulating all we've encountered over the past two-and-a-half years," the band's Sammy Seeka said in a statement. "Our recording process for the album followed no structure; we recorded vocals in carparks, tour buses and our studios in Sydney. One vocal loop was recorded into an iPhone on stage in a theatre in America.

"Ultimately every idea and piece of music we had come together in my bedroom studio; we then took it to our producer Ian Pritchett's garage studio and that's where the songs came to life."

You can get in line to hear the songs come to life in a very different way at any of Boo Seeka's upcoming shows when tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow, 12 July.
