More The Weeknd More The Weeknd

Canadian R&B luminary The Weeknd has announced the dates for 'phase two' of his Starboy world tour, with his maiden Australian shows included in the mix.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter/producer dropped the news online this afternoon (AEST), and will touch down on local shores for five shows at the end of the year, starting in Sydney on 2 December and moving through Brisbane on 6 December, Melbourne on 8 December, Adelaide on 11 December and Perth on 14 December.

Venues and supports for the shows are yet to be announced, though being the run is dubbed the 'Legend Of The Fall Arena Tour', it's probably safe to assume the Can't Feel My Face hit-maker will be taking to some pretty dang impressive stages when he makes his first venture to our shores in a few months' time.

The Starboy world tour is named for The Weeknd's acclaimed studio album — his third — of the same name, released last year to a generally rapturous response. Its title track peaked at #2 on the ARIA Singles chart (#1 on its Urban rankings), soaring to #1 in his home country of Canada as well as in Denmark, France, the US, Sweden and more.

He's freshly released the video for Starboy track Secrets, so while we're waiting on more information about the local run, you can keep yourself busy below.
