More Bluesfest More Bluesfest

Bluesfest continues to surprise with stellar artist announcement after stellar artist announcement, but strap yourself in because this one's particularly hefty. The Byron Bay blues extravaganza have booked renowned hip hop act Nas for this year's festival, in a super-rare collaboration with New Orleans brass band The Soul Rebels.

The collaboration is so rare it's only been seen at New Orleans Jazzfest and Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, and Bluesfest will be Nas and The Soul Rebels' sole Australian performance this year. Catch both on Bluesfest opening night on Thursday.

Also announced today is country favourite Kasey Chambers, with her latest #1 ARIA album Dragonfly in hand, Busby Marou also with a recent ARIA #1 album with them, South African flautist and composer Wouter Kellerman, Little Georgie and Lucy Gallant.

Today's huge announce compounds onto months of adding to the Bluesfest bill, which now boasts Patti Smith, Buddy Guy, Mary J Blige, Bonnie Raitt and many, many more.
