Someone Has Reinterpreted A Bunch Of Classic Songs As PowerPoints & It's Glorious

Good job, internet. Seriously good job

We live in an age of unprecedented technological wonderment, filled with smartphones and social media and terrifying AI that goes from banal to full-blown Nazi after less than a day of talking to actual humans.

But it wasn't always like this. In simpler times, when Snake was the most advanced mobile app going, and we didn't even call them mobile apps, Microsoft PowerPoint was the premier method of delivering presentations to captive audiences.

There's an elegance in PowerPoint's relative simplicity and cookie-cutter design that has seen it endure as de rigueur at schools around the world, and even experienced a brief resurgence as the chosen ironic platform for an entire subset of memes based around explaining topics (usually a TV show or movie or video game or what have you) very poorly.

However, someone — we couldn't tell you who, as the site is anonymous and was casually linked to on Reddit today (by user 20percentoffbaby, who likely either is or knows the owner of the page as the domain was been registered all of a day ago) — has found an actually useful purpose for the old faithful presentation program once more, using its breadth of graphing and other visual display resources to provide some handy breakdowns of several classic songs.

Featuring minimalist, data-centric takes on tunes such as Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise, Beyonce's Drunk In Love, The Beatles' Penny Lane, Barenaked Ladies' One Week, Destiny's Child's Survivor and more, Music… PowerPoint Remix is a mighty fine way to spend some time appreciating the intricacies (or lack thereof, in some cases) of several songs' central conceits.
