This is gonna be good.

Kings Cross clubbing institution Candys Apartment is teaming up with anti-lockout group Keep Sydney Open for a special event just weeks after the venue was shut down following a police raid.

Taking place at the Potts Point hot spot tomorrow (5 January), the 'Candys Reunion' party will feature a string of the club's resident acts, both past and present, with all door and ticket revenue going towards Keep Sydney Open.

Though the line-up is being kept under wraps until show time, the activist group has teased that "some of our most treasured local dance producers are in town, so you can guess who might be playing".

Over the years, Candy’s Apartment has played host to a number of stellar headline acts including Skrillex, Deorro, Vini Vici and many more.

Speaking exclusively to The Music, Candys promoter Jarrad Bodeker says tomorrow's party is about celebrating the acts that were able to hone their craft and take it to the world stage.

"Many of these artists have directly quoted Candys Apartment as a significant contribution to the start of their career," Bodeker says.

"Sydney’s boutique clubs have been a cultural breeding ground for decades, spanning multiple generations of music and social revolutions.

"Without these venues, Sydney will stagnate and lose the art communities."
