It's neck and neck.

This week's race to #1 on the ARIA Album Chart is shaping up to be a showdown between an iconic US outfit and an Aussie powerhouse — Bon Jovi versus Birds Of Tokyo.

According to midweek chart figures, Bon Jovi's 13th LP, This House Is Not For Sale, is the favourite to debut at top spot on the chart, while Birds Of Tokyo's latest, Brace, is hot on its tail.

It's no surprise Bon Jovi are the hot favourite, given that seven albums from the New Jersey-founded group have peaked at #1 (the latest being 2013's What About Now), while Birds Of Tokyo tasted top spot glory for the first time, also in 2013, with March Fires.

The final results are still very much in the air though, as both acts will have to contest with Jessica Mauboy's The Secret Daughter (Songs from the Original TV Series), which is aiming for a fourth straight week at #1, as well as UK heavyweight Robbie Williams, whose 11th studio album, The Heavy Entertainment Show, is also looking to finish in the top three.

The only other debuting album that could seriously shake up the top end of the album chart is Melbourne hip hop artist Pez's Don't Look Down, which is set to place in the top ten.

Rounding out the pack this week includes Client Liaison's Diplomatic Immunity and Alicia KeysHere, both primed for top 20 debuts, and Harrison Craig's Kings Of Vegas (top 40).

The Singles chart is set for a change at the top end too, though don't expect UK singer James Arthur, who is aiming for five weeks straight at #1 with Say You Won't Let Go, to budge from top spot.

US group Maroon 5 are set to jump into the top five with Don't Wanna Know ft Kendrick Lamar, as is singer Bruno Mars with his hugely-popular track, 24K Magic.

Debuting tracks this week come from The Chainsmokers with Collage EP (top 30) and Clean Bandit's Rockabye, ft Sean Paul and Anne-Marie (top 50).
