Emergent US rapper Mick Jenkins will perform his first-ever headline gigs in Australia next year while he's in the country for the impending series of St Jerome's Laneway Festival shows.

The 25-year-old upstart will hit The Toff In Town, Melbourne, as well as The Basement, in Sydney, during his local trip. He'll doubtlessly be treating local audiences to tunes from his acclaimed debut album [T]he [H]ealing [C]omponent alongside his equally lauded 2014 mixtape The Water[s], both of which have seen the Alabama-born, Chicago-raised rhyme-smith swiftly grab the attention of critics and fans alike.

Already boasting collaborations with the likes of Joey Bada$$, Kaytranada, Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper on his CV, Jenkins continues to win converts everywhere he goes, and local punters will have their chance to join the church from 12 noon this Friday, 28 October, when tickets go on sale via Live Nation.

As usual, My Live Nation members will have first run via their pre-sale, running from 10am on Thursday, 27 October, for 24 hours or until the allocation is exhausted.
