"It’ll be great to produce a print issue that reflects the exciting direction the local music is taking.”

With a WAM-award winning website, it seems fitting The Music Perth returns to the streets for a print issue to coincide with the burgeoning 2016 WAMFest conference and live music showcase.

The Music Perth has established itself as a major digital contender in the state over the past 12 months, and with WAM delivering one of their best line-ups to date, the partnership will deliver an exciting issue that shines a spotlight on local talent, provides punters a one-stop guide to WA music and the festival’s comprehensive program.

“We’ve seen a lot of amazing new bands emerge recently, and it’ll be great to produce a print issue that reflects the exciting direction the local music is taking,” WA editor Dan Cribb said.

“Having worked closely with WAM in the past, we’re looking forward to further strengthening our relationship with them and better serving the scene.”

The Music Perth returns to the streets the week commencing Oct 24, with WAMFest taking place from Nov 3 – 6.

The Music managing director Craig Treweek said: “It’s great to be back on the streets of Perth, and following seasonal issues in Adelaide and our recent BIGSOUND program, we’re confident The Music Perth’s next print issue will be the strongest yet.

“We’re hoping the success of our WAM issue will drive regular print issues in the state.”

Heading up The Music Perth’s predecessor, Drum Perth, before moving to his current position as Marketing & Communications Officer at WAM, Aarom Wilson looked forward to quality street press returning to WA.

"Having given such WAMazing support to local artists over the years, it was a sad moment when theMusic.com.au stopped their printed editions.

“Whilst their digital platform has skyrocketed since, we couldn’t be more excited for the return of a special WAMFEst print edition.

“Thanks to our major media partners, get those highlighter pens ready the official print program, covering a huge four days of good times!”

The WAM issue will provide a great opportunity for local bands, venues, promoters and more to get noticed by regular gig-goers, revered conference talent, artists and more.
