Country darlings Dixie Chicks have announced their addition as headliners of CMC Rocks 2017, a clear drawcard for CMC's 10th anniversary celebrations next year.

Dixie Chicks haven't graced our shores in over a decade and festival co-promoter Rob Potts was so stoked to have the group, he's moved the festival back two weeks to accommodate them. CMC Rocks will now be held from Friday, 24 March to Sunday, 26 March.

Potts said, "Securing Dixie Chicks to headline the 2017 instalment of CMC Rocks QLD is a major coup, and we’re thrilled. It’s unfortunate that Dixie Chicks had a major commitment shift, meaning they are unable to attend the festival dates we had already announced."

The festival saw Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line headline last year, with Taylor Swift (in her country music days, obvs), Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum and more gracing its stages in the past. Potts ensures this year's full artist line-up will be just as amazing for CMC Rocks' 10th birthday — the full line-up arrives next Friday.
