"You are NOT WELCOME HERE."

In the midst of a national tour in support of their newest album If This Is All We're Going To Be, Tassie punk legends Luca Brasi have had to take a moment out of what should be a celebratory sojourn to lay a social-standards smackdown on an overreaching punter at their show in Sydney last night.

Posting on Facebook this morning, the band addressed a particular person in the audience whose actions have, they said, "completely overshadowed" any goodwill they were enjoying on the otherwise "absolutely ridiculous and amazing" tour, after the male fan inflicted himself upon a pair of the band's friends who were in the audience without their consent.

"Two good mates of ours were left distraught after a certain piece of shit male in the audience decided that their bodies were his property in the pit," the band's post read. "We play shows because we love it, people come to these shows to enjoy the music, everyone has the right to be safe and other people's bodies ARE NOT YOUR PROPERTY."

The band said the incident had left them "completely and utterly horrified and dismayed", before addressing their male fans in general.

"If you want to come to see us play, keep your hands to your fucking self, it is NOT HARD TO DO," they wrote.

"If you believe it is your right as a male to do as you please, you are NOT WELCOME HERE."

The incident follows in the footsteps of similar notorious events at shows recently, such as Camp Cope's album launch in Brisbane earlier this year and the "intolerable" display at a High Tension gig in Melbourne back in June, among others.

Luca Brasi's tour, with Moose BloodThe Hard Aches and Deafcult, continues in Brisbane at The Zoo tonight.
