He's shot some of Australia's biggest stars

To coincide with their new Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging, SAE Creative Media Institute have announced a free masterclass with one of the industry's best — Jules Tahan.

From photoshoots with iconic entertainers Molly Meldrum and Paul Kelly to chef Heston Blumenthal and actor Guy Pearce, Tahan has over two decades of experience he's willing to share in his masterclass.

"Getting to know the creative team, the subjects we’re shooting and realising the vision is incredibly important to me. I’m fascinated with the manipulation of light and the enhancements that can be made in post-production," Tahan says.

"These things don’t happen by accident – there’s always a huge amount of planning that goes into making a shot look spontaneous. For me photography is a tool that allows me to communicate by getting a message across in the clearest and most visually arresting way. It’s a challenge that gets me fired up!"

"The Diploma is designed for anyone aspiring to work as a professional photographer in advertising, commercial, architecture, fashion, wedding, media and other diverse industries. With our focus on creative media, it will be ideal for anyone wanting to work as a photographer in the music and film industries," Bunder explained.

The masterclass will be held on 23 August from 1-4pm. Register your interest here.
