Here's hoping!

More COG More COG

Fans of Aussie prog-rockers Cog rejoiced earlier this year when the band announced they were ending a five-and-a-half year hiatus for an east coast tour but if their show in Sydney on Saturday night is anything to go by, there may be a whole new reason to celebrate.

As The Music writer Mick Radojkovic noted in his review of their show at Metro Theatre, Cog frontman Flynn Gower told the crowd, "...so we’re going to try and release a new album soon".

Though there has been no further confirmation since from the Cog camp about what the future holds for the trio, a new record is something fans have been holding out for for years.

The Sydney outfit haven't released an LP since 2008's Sharing Space, which was the follow up to their 2005 debut album, The New Normal.
